84 Best gifts for teen girls (according to teen girls) 2025

If you want to find the perfect gift for a teen girl, use this list of ideas based on gifts currently popular with and coveted by teens (as verified and deemed aesthetic by my teenage daughter and her friends).

It can be quite hard to find gifts that will truly delight teenagers. The days of filling a Christmas stocking with toys are long gone.

Plus, teens can be very fickle about what they like. Then there’s the influence of social media, and TikTok trends can play havoc with a gift list.

As the parent of a teen, I thought I’d make it easy for anyone searching for birthday or Christmas gift ideas by listing all the things that my daughter and her friends either already own and love or would love to own.

These gifts are great for 13-year-olds right the way through to 18 and 19-year-olds.

Having done my time in the editorial department of several glossy magazines, I’m pretty good at keeping up with the latest trends.

But, I have to admit that, keeping up with teen trends takes a certain level of dedication, so I am very glad to have my own teen to help point me in the right direction.

So, whether you have a daughter who is a Swiftie, Brat Girl, sporty teen, really into beauty and style or all of the above and more, I’ve got you covered.

Here is what I’ve come up with; I hope these ideas and suggestions come in useful as a gift guide.

Top aesthetic gifts teenage girls want (and will love and use)

I’ve put in the time and research to ensure this list is peppered with unique and aesthetic gift ideas that your daughter or the teen girl you are gift-buying for will be bowled over that you bought her.

Let’s kick off with a list of beauty products that are on many teen girls’ lust lists.

20 GORGEOUS BEAUTY PRODUCTS TEEN GIRLS WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE

I’ve focused this curation on beauty brands and products that teen girls hanker after at the moment. Many of these beauty products have blown up on TikTok over the last few months.

Some are relatively inexpensive and great as filler gifts. Others are more expensive and make for great luxury beauty gifts that teens won’t be buying for themselves.

All of the products on the list have hundreds of rave reviews.

Plus, I am lucky enough to have a teenage daughter and teenage niece eager to try out beauty products in the name of research (or who have been given these items as gifts in the last few months), so I have mentioned where we actually have the product at home, use it and love it.

  1. e.l.f. Cosmetics Glossy Lip Stain
    £6.00

E.L.F Glossy Lip Stain has blown up on TikTok in 2023. It's all about low-maintenance beauty. It can be applied and then blotted so that it doesn't have to be constantly reapplied throughout the day.

  2. e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter

E.L.F Halo Glow Liquid Filter is a super popular Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter dupe loved by teen girls whose pocket money doesn't quite stretch to Charlotte Tilbury prices.

  3. RARE BEAUTY Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
    £22 (at time of publication)

Rare Beauty is one of those rare celebrity brands that is truly good in its own right. The liquid blushes are a particular favourite with teens wanting to perfect a radiantly natural-looking glow

    Buy from Sephora
  4. GLOW RECIPE Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops
£18 for 15ml (at time of publication)

Niacinamide is one of the go-to active ingredients for teens wanting something to calm redness and smooth and soothe bumpy skin.

Glow Recipe's Dew Drops have reached cult status this year. 1. It's a great product, and 2. The bottle looks great on a dressing table. It is expensive for teen purses, so it's a real treat of a gift.

    Buy from Sephora
  5. Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Face Roller

The early teen years are when the skin starts to get more oily and potentially troublesome. This roller is a TikTok favourite for helping soak up the excess oil and keeping skin looking its best. My daughter has one and totally rates it.

  6. DIOR Addict Lip Glow Oil

Dior Addict Lip Gloss is an absolute cult beauty favourite and a total luxury for the average 13-year-old. But if your teen has an eye for luxury beauty brands, this is one treat that she is absolutely going to love.

  7. NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Concealer Serum
    £11.49 £6.89

NYX is a super popular beauty brand with my teen daughter and her friends. This concealer serum is huge on TikTok in 2023. Teens love it because it gives medium coverage in serum form, which means that it can be applied to blemishes without it overloading them with oil or looking unnatural. It comes in 13 shades. It's also great on dark circles and for evening out skin tone.

  8. Revlon One-Step hair dryer and volumiser (mid to long hair)
    $45.00

This is quite possibly the most amazing hair-styling tool I have ever owned. It has transformed how I dry my hair because it makes it so darned easy to style... which is why I am forever finding this wonder brush in my teen daughter's bedroom. So I think it would make the perfect gift for teen girls with mid to long hair who want a quick and easy way to dry and style their hair. There is also a version for short to mid-length hair.

  9. The Flat Lay Makeup Bag

My daughter has this exact bag. It holds tonnes of products and opens out flat (the clue is in the name!), making it super easy for girls to find stuff in and simply scope up and shut when they need to dash.

  10. MYLEE 15 Seconds Cure Convex Curing® LED Gel Polish Nail Drying Lamp KIT
    £69.99

Teen girls seem to be way more into their nails than back in the day, but given that most younger teens don't have the cash to visit a nail salon on the regular, an at-home kit is a great gift idea. My daughter and I share this kit, and both use Mylee gel polish as well. It does a great job of curing gel nails, and there are some lovely colours in the range.

  11. Danielle Creations Rose Oil Infused Pink Super Soft Turban Hair Towel

We are huge fans of these hair turbans in this house. My teen daughter and I both have hair that has a tendency to frizz, but wrapping our hair in a turban to dry rather than towel drying it really helps to tame that frizz.

    Buy from Amazon
  12. Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set
    £12.99

This is one item we have yet to buy, but it's on my teen's wishlist. Apparently, it takes a hot minute to work out how to use these heatless curlers, and you will need a butterfly clip or two to help secure your hair as you work, but they are hugely popular at the moment.

  13. Futuredew Glossier
    £26 (at time of publication)

If you've ever stood in line waiting to gain entry to the London Covent Garden store, you will know how popular Glossier is with teens. FutureDew gives the kind of iridescent glow that shouts 'expensive beauty product', and it looks mighty fine on a dressing table too.

    Buy from Glossier
  14. LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Berry 20g | SEPHORA UK
    £19 (at time of publication)

This is quite possibly the most gorgeous lip balm ever created. I bought a pot almost a year ago, and my daughter's eyes lit up when she saw it, as it has been all over TikTok.

It comes with a little spatula in a pouch that helps keep it hygienic. You only need a tiny amount, so the jar is still going strong almost a year after buying it. It would make a gorgeous stocking filler gift.

    Buy from Sephora
  15. Made By Mitchell Blursh Lights - Nova Nights
    £16 (at time of publication)

The Made By Mitchell brand is blowing up on TikTok. Mitchell Halliday is a 24-year-old make-up artist and TikTok beauty influencer. I recently bought Blursh Lights for one of my daughter's friends at her behest.

  16. SOL DE JANEIRO BEIJA FLOR JET SET
    £28 (at time of publication)

Sol de Janeiro is SO popular with teens. HUGE. The Beija Flor fragrance is particularly coveted at the moment, so this set would make a great gift. It has body wash, elasti-cream and the iconic Cheirosa 68 perfume mist.

Buy from Cult Beauty Buy from Boots
  17. Ariana Grande Cloud Pink Eau de Parfum 30ml
    £26.40 (at time of publication)

Ariana Grande Cloud is what I think of as 'entry-level' perfume for teens. It's a fairly sweet-smelling fragrance - a 'sensual' blend of ambery woods, magenta moss, and a touch of sweetened praline. But what I really like is that the bottle is super-cute and very covetable.

  18. Summer Fridays Lip Butter
    £23 (at time of publication)

Summer Fridays is one of those brands that has stormed to success via social media. This lip butter is designed to relieve cracked and taut lips, leaving them smooth and hydrated without ever feeling greasy. There are seven delicious colours to choose from.

  19. Brush Works Jade Roller
    £9.99 (at time of publication)

Teen girls are so much more knowledgeable about how to look after their skin than I ever was. They know that a jade roller will help reduce the puffiness of facial skin and they LOVE a good beauty gadget.

  20. Skinny Dip Vanilla Body Scrub

Teen skin can get a little bumpy, especially on the backs of the arms. So, a good body scrub is always a welcome gift. This one from Skinny Dip is positively delicious.

  21. Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment
    £16 (at time of publication)

Rhode Skin is the skincare brand by Hailey Rhode Bieber, model, influencer, daughter of... wife of... blah blah blah. Thing is, the products are actually really rather good.

This is a restorative lip treatment for naturally pillowy-soft lips that leaves lips looking super glossy. My 14-year-old teen was given the Salted Caramel flavour by her cousin and LOVES it.

14 STYLE GIFTS THEY WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE

How about some things that they can wear? This can often be one of the hardest gift types to get right. Hopefully, my teen intel will help you find gift success!

I asked my daughter to curate the jewellery ideas, and I have to say I love the items she has chosen.

  1. Gold Plated T Bar Necklace

    £165 (at time of publication)

I know UGGs are a complete luxury gift for a teenager. I also know they will be on my teen daughter's Christmas list. I have two suggestions for tackling this:

Firstly, look for online stores that offer a sign-up discount to new customers. Secondly, make them a group gift, with several family members contributing.

On the upside, they will get worn endlessly and are very sensible for winter!

I'm in two minds about this whole VR thing, but I know plenty of teens who absolutely love VR, so I'm going to include it.

The Meta Quest 2 is a standalone headset, i.e. it isn't connected to a device by wires, so it means there is more freedom to move around with it. The downside of standalone headsets is that they are heavier, and the experiences aren't as in-depth as tethered devices.

  11. Apple 2022 Apple TV
    £169.00 £159.00

One thing I've noticed is that it gets really hard to find TV shows that all the family enjoys watching together, Modern Family, Superstore and Stranger Things are winners, but there comes a time in a teenager's life when they need their own TV!!

This is the Apple TV 4K Wi‑Fi + Ethernet with 128GB storage (3rd generation). Your teenager can have a world of TV and movies at their fingertips, and they can even use Siri to select a show.

HOW TO BUY GREAT GIFTS FOR TEENAGE GIRLS

It can be quite a challenge to find great gifts for teenage girls. So here are a few tips to bear in mind when trying to find the perfect gift for your daughter, granddaughter or teen girl you need to find a wonderful gift for.

1. GREAT WAYS TO ELICIT INFORMATION

I find I get the best intel and information from my teen daughter when we’re out walking somewhere together or when we’re sat in the car casually chatting. I try not to ask direct questions about gifts because I usually end up with very to work with in response.

2. KEEP AN EYE ON TRENDS

It’s quite a tall order to keep an eye on teen trends, but being observant about what teens are wearing or chatting about when you are around them – out shopping or in town – can be a great way to gather intel. It is also worth popping into shops that cater to a teen demographic every now and then.

If you happen to be with your teen out shopping for school stuff or basics, it’s worth keeping an eye on the things that catch their eye and making a note for future reference.

3. SIGN UP FOR NEWSLETTERS FOR TEEN FAVOURED BRANDS

Keep track of the latest products via email newsletters or follow your daughter’s favourite brands on TikTok (if you have it) or Instagram to see what’s new and what’s trending.

I’ve put together a big list below of brands that are currently popular with teen girls in the UK.

4. MAKE USE OF MUMS MAKE LISTS!

I spend time tracking the trends and researching gift ideas so that you don’t have to. Make use of my gift lists to find brilliant gifts for your teenager/s.
