If you want to find the perfect gift for a teen girl, use this list of ideas based on gifts currently popular with and coveted by teens (as verified by my teen daughter and her friends).
It can be quite hard to find gifts that will truly delight teenagers. The days of filling a Christmas stocking with toys are long gone. Plus, teens can be very fickle about what they like. Then there’s the influence of social media, and TikTok trends can play havoc with a gift list.
As the parent of a teen, I thought I’d make it easy for anyone searching for birthday or Christmas gift ideas by listing all the things that my daughter and her friends either already own and love or would love to own. These gifts are great for 13-year-olds right the way through to 18 and 19-year-olds.
Having done my time in the editorial department of several glossy magazines, I’m pretty good at keeping up with the latest trends, but I have to admit that keeping up with teen trends takes a certain level of dedication, so I am very glad to have my own teen to help point me in the right direction.
So, whether you have a daughter who is a teen Harry Styles fangirl or a sporty teen or really into beauty and style or all of the above, I’ve got you covered.
Here is what I’ve come up with; I hope these ideas and suggestions come in useful as a gift guide.

TOP 66 GIFTS TEEN GIRLS WANT (AND WILL LOVE AND USE)
I’ve put in the time and research to ensure this list is peppered with unique gift ideas that your daughter or the teen girl you are gift-buying for will be bowled over you bought her.
Let’s kick off with a list of beauty products that are on many teen girls’ lust lists.
14 GORGEOUS BEAUTY PRODUCTS TEEN GIRLS WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE
I’ve focused this curation on beauty brands and products that teen girls hanker after at the moment. Many of these beauty products have blown up on TikTok over the last few months.
Some are relatively inexpensive and great as filler gifts. Others are more expensive and make for great luxury beauty gifts that teens won’t be buying for themselves.
All of the products on the list have hundreds of rave reviews. Plus, I am lucky enough to have a teenage daughter eager to try out beauty products in the name of research (or who has been given these items as gifts from her dad and me or her friends in the last few months), so I have mentioned where we actually have the product at home, use it and love it.

E.L.F Glossy Lip Stain has blown up on TikTok in 2023. It's all about low-maintenance beauty. It can be applied and then blotted so that it doesn't have to be constantly reapplied throughout the day.

E.L.F Halo Glow Liquid Filter is a super popular Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter dupe loved by teen girls whose pocket money doesn't quite stretch to Charlotte Tilbury prices.

Rare Beauty is one of those rare celebrity brands that is truly good in its own right. The liquid blushes are a particular favourite with teens wanting to perfect a radiantly natural-looking glow

Niacinamide is one of the go-to active ingredients for teens wanting something to calm redness and smooth and soothe bumpy skin.
Glow Recipe's Dew Drops have reached cult status this year. 1. It's a great product, and 2. The bottle looks great on a dressing table. It is expensive for teen purses, so it's a real treat of a gift.

The early teen years are when the skin starts to get more oily and potentially troublesome. This roller is a TikTok favourite for helping soak up the excess oil and keeping skin looking its best. My daughter has one and totally rates it.

Dior Addict Lip Gloss is an absolute cult beauty favourite and a total luxury for the average 13-year-old. But if your teen has an eye for luxury beauty brands, this is one treat that she is absolutely going to love.

This is quite possibly the most amazing hair-styling tool I have ever owned. It has transformed how I dry my hair because it makes it so darned easy to style... which is why I am forever finding this wonder brush in my teen daughter's bedroom. So I think it would make the perfect gift for teen girls with mid to long hair who want a quick and easy way to dry and style their hair. There is also a version for short to mid-length hair.

My daughter has this exact bag. It holds tonnes of products and opens out flat (the clue is in the name!), making it super easy for girls to find stuff in and simply scope up and shut when they need to dash.

We are huge fans of these hair turbans in this house. My teen daughter and I both have hair that has a tendency to frizz, but wrapping our hair in a turban to dry rather than towel drying it really helps to tame that frizz.

This is one item we have yet to buy, but it's on my teen's wishlist. Apparently, it takes a hot minute to work out how to use these heatless curlers, and you will need a butterfly clip or two to help secure your hair as you work, but they are hugely popular at the moment.

If you've ever stood in line waiting to gain entry to the London Covent Garden store, you will know how popular Glossier is with teens. FutureDew gives the kind of iridescent glow that shouts 'expensive beauty product', and it looks mighty fine on a dressing table too.

This is quite possibly the most gorgeous lip balm ever created. I bought a pot almost a year ago, and my daughter's eyes lit up when she saw it, as it has been all over TikTok.
It comes with a little spatula in a pouch that helps keep it hygienic. You only need a tiny amount, so the jar is still going strong almost a year after buying it. It would make a gorgeous stocking filler gift.

9 STYLE GIFTS THEY WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE
How about some things that they can wear? This can often be one of the hardest gift types to get right. Hopefully, my teen intel will help you find gift success!
I asked my daughter to curate the jewellery ideas, and I have to say I love the items she has chosen.
- Round Mini Shoulder Bag | UNIQLO UK
- Le Specs trash trix wrap sunglasses
- Adidas Samba OG
- Tiny Moon Loop Earrings
- Gold Midnight Star Necklace
- Lune Rainbow Moonstone Bracelet
- Shrimps Beaded Ring Sterling Silver
- The Pleasing T-Shirt in Sunshine Yellow

The Uniqlo Mini Shoulder Bag is one of the hottest bags of the year... and it's from a mainstream high street brand at a price that doesn't even make you flinch. It's way cooler than a bumbag and has started popping up at this summer's festivals as the bag of choice.

Wrap sunglasses are back after aeons in the wilderness. LeSpecs is fast becoming a go-to brand for lovers of style who don't want to or can't pay big-ticket designer prices. Perfect for teens who have a habit of losing their sunglasses at festivals! These Trash Trix sunglasses come in several colourways.

The Adidas Samba is in a close-run race with the Adidas Gazelle as the shoe of the year. Having worn Gazelles through the early 90s, it's been lovely to welcome them back and see teens trotting around in them. But accordingly, to my teen, it is the Samba that has edged ahead, and the black and white colourway is the one to have.

These tiny moon loops are made from 18ct gold-plated vermeil on recycled 925 sterling silver.
Tada & Toy is a London-based jewellery studio that specialises in high-quality, affordable earrings. It was founded by BFFs Tansy & Victoria. Tada & Toy donate 5 per cent of sales to animal conservation charity The Aspinall Foundation.

This gold star necklace is 450mm long with a 50mm extender. It is made of 14kt gold plated on sterling silver.
Ania Haie is a London-based jewellery brand that makes trend-led pieces at affordable prices that are delicate enough to be stacked and layered.

Stellar 79 is an East-London-based jewellery brand founded by sisters Natasha and Sheena. They make affordable 18-carat gold vermeil jewellery influenced by their heritage, which is Trinidadian and Mauritian Indian.
The jewellery is handmade in Jaipur using ethically sourced gemstones.

This beaded ring (on 3rd finger in image) is from the Shrimps collab with Daisy London, the cult-favourite brand founded by Ruth Bewsey around Portobello Road. The brand does collabs with fellow cult brands and influencers.
The ring is made from 100% recycled silver and is a great ring for stacking with others (the stacking trend from 2022 prevails this year).

For parents not in the know, Pleasing is Harry Style's brand. So, if you have a teen who is a Harry Styles fan, they will likely love you even more than they already do if they unwrap a 'Pleasing' gift from you for their birthday or Christmas.
This T-shirt is ethically crafted, cut and sewn in Los Angeles and made from 100% cotton, using 50% recycled and 50% organic yarn.

12 LIFESTYLE GIFTS FOR TEEN GIRLS
Now let’s move on to some more lifestyle-focused gifts that will go down well with teenage girls. Stuff that will brighten up a bedroom, home comforts that will cosy up a dorm room at Uni.
- Teddy Fleece Weighted Blanket
- OTPEIR Personal Size Blender
- EnVie Beauty Mini Fridge
- Tryone Gooseneck Phone Holder
- Desktop Vacuum Cleaner
- Lumie Bodyclock Spark 100
- Maya Wire Jewellery Stand By Lisa Angel
- Steepletone Cream Mono Cassette Player & Recorder
- Print - Floor, The Largest Shelf
- 101pcs Skateboard Stickers Pack
- Planting Positives Gift Set For Teens

A weighted blanket is like sleeping under a big hug. It's a great gift idea for teens to snuggle under when they are feeling anxious, or their emotions get the better of them. They are also a great style addition to a teen room.

This small but mighty mini blender is great for teens who want a smoothie on the go. It's handheld. You can stack it with fruit and veg, then blend them fresh when ready to have a drink. Great for school lunch breaks or after sports. It holds 250ml of juice and is super lightweight (460g).

Beauty fridges are a thing! Especially for the TikTok generation. This EnVie fridge is a favourite, and super style-conscious teens will love how its aesthetic adds to their room.
As well as being a lovely luxury gift, the fridge is also practical, keeping skincare products up to 20°C below room temperature, reducing harmful bacteria and extending their life. Alternatively, it can also hold up to 6 x 330ml cans of soft drink.

My daughter has one of these. It's a great neck saver for teens who otherwise spend all their screen time rounding their necks and shoulders down to stare at their screens.

This cute little desktop vacuum cleaner is great for doing a quick laptop keyboard cleanup or scooting around a desk, gobbling up crumbs spilt whilst studying. It has a USB charger and a couple of useful little accessories for more precision cleaning.

It's a well-known fact that teenagers have a different circadian rhythm than people of other ages. So help a teen girl out by giving her the gift of natural daylight to help her get up on school mornings!! My daughter has this exact alarm clock, and it really does make a difference.

This is a great jewellery stand for grab-and-go jewellery storage. There are plenty of places to drape, hang and drop necklaces, bracelets and rings.

Gen-Z is in love with cassettes. Sales of them have been going through the roof this year. Who knew that would ever happen?! So, this is a great gift for teens who want to raid their parents' old cassette collections or even buy their own cassettes.

I asked my 13-year-old which wall art resonated with her most on Etsy, and this was her no. 1 choice. Parents, the struggle is real!!
What I love about Dictionary Print Store is that you can buy the digital version and print it yourself (£2.10 at the time of publication) or choose what you would like them to print it on and send to you.

Skateboard stickers are having something of a moment, being used to adorn mirrors and walls of cool teens. Supreme stickers are the OG of stickers, but there are tonnes of options on Amazon. They make for great stocking filler or little extra gifts.

This cute positivity gift set by Equipp is a lovely gift for teenagers in need of a little ray of therapeutic sunshine. It contains a 'Happy Whale' planter with grass seeds, a pouch of 'You're Amazing' positivity cards and pick 'n' mix sweets, all packaged in a gorgeous gift box tied with a ribbon.

11 TECH GIFTS TEEN GIRLS WILL BE HAPPY TO UNWRAP
Some of these tech gifts are jazzed-practical ideas like smartphone and AirPod protective cases; others are the dream tech gifts that teens rate.
- OtterBox AirPods Case
- iWALK Mini Portable Charger
- Apple MagSafe Charger
- Divoom Ditoo-Mic Pixel Art LED Portable Bluetooth Speaker with Wireless Karaoke Microphone
- Logitech POP Keys Mechanical Wireless Keyboard
- The Powerpuff Girls Medley Case - CASETiFY
- Apple AirPods (3rd gen) Lightning Charging Case
- Nintendo Switch OLED White
- Led Strip Light, 10m with remote
- Apple 2022 Apple TV

Otterbox AirPod cases are soft touch, grippy texture (great for ensuring you don't drop them), a loop for hooking them onto a belt or keyring and are extra protective (compared to the case AirPods come in). They come in a whole range of cute colours too.

A compact portable charger is pretty much essential for teens on the go. The Walker is light, compact and reliable. It's good for teens to know their smartphones won't run out of charge and it's reassuring for their parents too!

The MagSafe charger is designed to charge more quickly and efficiently than regular iPhone chargers. They are compatible with the iPhone 12 upwards (just make sure that the phone has a case that allows MagSafe charging without having to remove it every time.

My 13-year-old has a pink Divoom Mood Light in her room and loves it. So, I was really excited when I spotted that Divoom now has Bluetooth Ditoo speakers... and also, this Ditoo Speaker + Karaoke Mic.
It might be small but it is mighty and the sound quality is reportedly great. It has gone straight on my gift ideas list for Christmas. The pixel animations can be customised, so it is an all-around original and cute gift idea.

This wireless mechanical (it looks, feels and sounds like an old-school keyboard) is both a visual feast and an ergonomic wonder. It will amp up the style on any teen desk, and its compact keyboard encourages less arm reaching and more comfort.
There are three Pop Keys colourways (I mean aesthetics!), oh and it connects to up to three devices at once, so busy teens can switch between devices instantaneously.

Casetify cases might be expensive, but they are the perfect mix of strong and stylish. There are so many designs to choose from, including bespoke personalised.
I'm going with this case featuring the cult classic Powerpuff Girls, sparking a little nostalgia for teens who watched the Powerpuffs back in the day.

When kids hit their teens it is a great time to upgrade their headphones to more adult versions. These are the newest Gen of AirPods in the lightning charge case. For slightly more, you can have the AirPods in a MagSafe case if you have MagSafe chargers at home.

The OLED is the latest version of the Nintendo Switch, and its popularity keeps on growing.
It has a wide range of games, including classics like Mario Kart and all the latest releases. It has a 7-inch OLED screen, 64GB storage, a built-in stand, a dock, a wired LAN port, and controllers. It supports 4K gaming resolution, up to 120 fps frame rate, and 3D spatial audio, enhancing the gaming experience.

I wasn't overly keen on my daughter having these, but they are actually brilliant. They totally change the mood of her room depending on which combination of colours she chooses with the remote. They are really easy to put up (though be prepared to repaint when they eventually get taken down!).

One thing I've noticed is that it gets really hard to find TV shows that all the family enjoys watching together, Modern Family, Superstore and Stranger Things are winners, but there comes a time in a teenager's life when they need their own TV!!
This is the Apple TV 4K Wi‑Fi + Ethernet with 128GB storage (3rd generation). Your teenager can have a world of TV and movies at their fingertips, and they can even use Siri to select a show.

6 SPORT AND FITNESS GIFTS FOR HEALTH-CONSCIOUS TEENS
Here are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing for teens who love to work out or keep on top form for playing their favourite sport.
- York Fitness Vinyl Kettlebell, Purple, 6kg
- JLL® Wooden Balance Board
- CFX Resistance Bands 3 Sets
- TANGRAM Smart Jump Rope Rookie

We have a couple of these York kettlebells at home. They are really reasonably priced and are just right for use whilst working out with TikTok or YouTube videos. We also have the 8K kettlebell.

JLL is known for their great quality gym equipment - I have its indoor cycling bike and can vouch for the quality. Balance boards are great for core strength (and perfecting abs!), so this is a great gift for teen girls who love to keep fit and healthy.

If you have a teen who loves working out at home, this set of three resistance bands (light, medium and heavy resistance) is great for lower-body workouts. My daughter and I prefer the fabric bands to the latex ones because they don't snag on your skin.
The bands are brilliant for doing squats correctly (the band keeps the knees aligned), and the colours are cute!

Smart jump ropes take skipping to a whole new level, and the Tangram Rookie just looks so cute too. It comes in pink, blue, black and coral. This foam-handled jump rope has an LED screen for tracking workouts and connects to an app. Great for teens working out at home or in the great outdoors.

6 ART, CRAFT AND MAKER GIFTS FOR CREATIVE TEENS
Got a creative teen in the house? Here are some brilliant gift ideas for making and creating, whether it’s art or food or craft.
- 3Doodler Create+ 3D Printing Pen
- Giles & Posner Doughnut Maker
- Cricut Maker Tools - Sewing Kit Set
- STAEDTLER 61 100 Design Journey Sketching Set
- Faber-Castell Tin, 24 Polychromos Blendable Pencils
- Canon 4519C008 Zoemini S2

The 3Doodler Create+ is a refined 3D pen for teens confident in their artistic skills and who know their way around 3D art. It can be held in the same way as a regular pen, so it is easy to manipulate. Do note that as this is veering towards the more professional end of the 3D pen market, the filaments are more expensive than more child-focused 3D pens.

This mini doughnut maker makes three doughnuts at a time. It's great for teens who love baking. Oh, how I would have loved my own doughnut maker for after-school or college snacks!!
The maker is easy to clean (always useful for teens) and super easy to use.

My daughter loves upcycling old clothes, particularly denim. She is an avid watcher of YouTube tutorials on upcycling, so this Cricut sewing kit was a very welcome gift and has been used lots over the months after she received it.

Teens gearing up for taking GCSE art will love getting their hands on some quality sketching pens and pencils. Staedtler is one of the go-to brands for artists. It is known for its superior quality pencils in particular.

Faber-Castell blendable colouring pencils are fabulous to work with; they are blendable but, at the same time, smudge-proof, so it is easy to keep work in progress looking perfect. This is another great gift for creative teens, particularly those studying art for GCSE.

Teens are increasingly turning towards cameras rather than always using the camera on their smartphones. Shoot and print cameras, like this Canon Zoemini mean it is possible to snap and print using the same device. It also takes an SD card (buy separately).
The Canon Zoemini has its own ring light and a front-mounted self-mirror to make sure posing teens get the best shots straight away. It is lightweight and slimline, so perfect for teen influencers out and about. Plus, there are customisation options like built-in effects and frame buttons.

8 MUST-HAVE BOOKS THAT MAKE GREAT GIFTS FOR TEEN GIRLS
Here is a roundup of some brilliant ideas for books to buy teen girls. From what I know, it is getting harder to encourage kids of all ages to read. It’s just not nearly as immediate watching stuff ad infinitum on screen.
But if you can engage a teen in reading a book, especially if it has been a struggle up until now, you really are giving them a gift for life. This curation includes modern classics, books that are useful and or inspirational and books that are just plain fun.
- Harry Styles: and the clothes he wears
- Heartstopper Series
- A Good Girl's Guide to Murder
- The Fault in Our Stars: The Fault in our Stars
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- The Diary of a Young Girl: The Definitive Edition (PENGUIN CLASSICS)
- A Girl's Guide to Being Awesome: Empowering Advice for Teenage Life
- The Big Book of Adulting Life Skills for Teens

My daughter absolutely loves her copy of this book. It is filled with images of Harry's outfits ('fits) over the years, along with an insight into the cultural references that inspired each of them. If your daughter loves style and Styles, this is an absolute winning gift.

This is the complete set of four graphic novels in the Heartstopper series that has become a massive hit on Netflix. Graphic novels are hugely popular with teens at the moment.
Heartstopper is a heartwarming series of graphic novels by Alice Oseman that narrates the blossoming romance and profound friendship between two British schoolboys, Charlie and Nick, as they navigate their identities, emotions, and relationships.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson is a gripping young adult mystery novel where high school student Pippa Fitz-Amobi dives into a complex, cold-case murder investigation for her final year project, unearthing dark secrets that change her perception of her seemingly perfect town. There are three books in the series. For readers aged 14+

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is a deeply moving and poignant novel about two teenagers, Hazel and Gus, who, while dealing with their own terminal illnesses, fall in love and navigate the complex emotions of joy, fear, love, and loss. This may not appear to be the most cheery book ever written, but there is something truly uplifting and wonderful about it, which I guess is why it was made into a Hollywood movie that was a massive box-office hit.
This is a Teachers Pick book on Amazon. Reading age: 14+

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a profound and timeless novel that explores themes of racial injustice, morality, and the loss of innocence through the eyes of young Scout Finch in the American South, making it an exceptional read for teenagers as it promotes empathy, critical thinking, and understanding of social issues. Reading age: 13+

The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank offers a deeply personal and poignant account of a Jewish girl's life in hiding during the Holocaust.
This is an important read for teenagers as it provides historical insight, nurtures empathy, and fosters an understanding of resilience, hope, and the indomitable human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity. I read this as a teenager, and the story has stayed with me for life, as it should. Reading age: 13+

A Girl's Guide to Being Awesome: Empowering Advice for Teenage Life by Suzanne Virdee is an inspiring guide that offers practical advice, encouragement, and actionable tips to help teenage girls navigate various aspects of their lives, including self-esteem, relationships, and dealing with pressure while empowering them to embrace their individuality and build a fulfilling life.
It's a great read for young to mid-teen girls.

To give this book its full title... The Big Book of Adulting Life Skills for Teens: A Complete Guide to All the Crucial Life Skills They Don’t Teach You in School for Teenagers.
This book has just been published in 2023, and it's a brilliant idea.
There are so many basic life skills that just don't get taught in school, and we parents may well try to teach them, but according to our teens, what do we know?! So this is a great book to give as a life bible for teens leaving home for university or to head out into the big wide world.

HOW TO BUY GREAT GIFTS FOR TEENAGE GIRLS
It can be quite a challenge to find great gifts for teenage girls. So here are a few tips to bear in mind when trying to find the perfect gift for your daughter, granddaughter or teen girl you need to find a wonderful gift for.
1. GREAT WAYS TO ELICIT INFORMATION
I find I get the best intel and information from my teen daughter when we’re out walking somewhere together or when we’re sat in the car casually chatting. I try not to ask direct questions about gifts because I usually end up with very to work with in response.
2. KEEP AN EYE ON TRENDS
It’s quite a tall order to keep an eye on teen trends, but being observant about what teens are wearing or chatting about when you are around them – out shopping or in town – can be a great way to gather intel. It is also worth popping into shops that cater to a teen demographic every now and then.
If you happen to be with your teen out shopping for school stuff or basics, it’s worth keeping an eye on the things that catch their eye and making a note for future reference.
3. SIGN UP FOR NEWSLETTERS FOR TEEN FAVOURED BRANDS
Keep track of the latest products via email newsletters or follow your daughter’s favourite brands on TikTok (if you have it) or Instagram to see what’s new and what’s trending.
I’ve put together a big list below of brands that are currently popular with teen girls in the UK.
4. MAKE USE OF MUMS MAKE LISTS!
I spend time tracking the trends and researching gift ideas so that you don’t have to. Make use of my gift lists to find brilliant gifts for your teenager/s.
TEEN GIRL GIFT HAUL GALLERY
Here’s a few shots of some of the products that my teen daughter and I own and love using. I’ve mentioned stuff that I own because this is the stuff that seems to find its way into my 13-year-old’s room on the regular!
