Eco-friendly Christmas decorations are the way forward.

But what if you aren’t naturally gifted at crafting or just don’t have the time?

Well, then you turn to Etsy and buy them!

The thing is, there is a LOT of stuff on Etsy.

A LOT.

So, rather than leave you to fend for yourself, I’ve trawled through the myriad of wares on Etsy to find eco-friendly decorations that I think you will love as much as I do.

GORGEOUS ECO-FRIENDLY CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

Rustic rudolph tree decoration

This rustic Rudolph tree decoration is laser cut from plywood. The makers, HUMMY, are also happy to make bespoke versions of the bauble for you.

Paper Mistletoe

Delicate and beautiful, these paper mistletoe sprigs are handcrafted from eco-friendly paper. They are gorgeous to use as Christmas decorations, Christmas gift toppers, table decorations, or for card making.

The mistletoe comes in sets of three, the stem length is approximately 6.5 cm and leaf length 5 cm.

HAND-CROCHETED Pear Ornaments

Food themed Christmas tree ornaments are having a bit of a moment. Just take a look at the array of them over on Etsy.

This set of three crocheted pears is one of my favourites, mainly because in my head they just shouldn’t work, but they do!

They are made from a combination of bamboo, wool and organic cotton. Then stuffed with 100% British sheep wool stuffing.

They are great for hanging on a tree or for using on a novelty Christmas wreath. The pears are around 3.5cm in diameter, with generous hanging loops.

Lovingly handmade by Little Conkers, who specialise in sustainable, handmade gifts and crafts.

recycled paper Christmas star Garland

These handmade garlands are made from recycled paper.

There are three layers of stars, with each star made from recycled vintage books. You can even choose which language you want the text to be in!

You can also choose the length of the garland you want.

The garland is finished with a merino wool felt bead at the bottom and comes beautifully gift-wrapped.

Mix ‘n’ Match CLAY character Christmas Tree Decorations

You can choose sets of four, six, 12 or 24 little clay animal decorations. Each character is aprox 3-4cm tall.

The characters include… white sheep, black sheep, beige mouse, white mouse, red squirrel, grey squirrel, snowman, santa, Christmas pudding, angel, octopus, fox, reindeer, penguin, owl, whale, sloth, robin, puffin, badger, hedgehog, bat, and polar bear.

I love that the packaging they come in is super eco-friendly… they use egg cartons!

Origami Snowflake Ornament set

These pure white origami snowflakes come with silver strings to hang from your Christmas tree. They are made from a hand drawn design and hand folded in the HipHipPapaya studio in Nottingham.

They bring a lovely touch of scandi chic to any household at Christmas.

The snowflakes come flat-packed but are easily assembled within seconds. They are made from recyclable premium card stock and can be recycled after a guilt free single use or re-used year after year if stored carefully.

Nordic Felt Christmas Decorations

Kirsty Gadd‘s selection of Nordic felt Christmas ornaments are best-sellers on Etsy.

And with good reason. They are utterly gorgeous.

So much so that there are a couple I have to mention.

First up….

You can choose from cute penguins, festive reindeer, cuddly polar bears, snowmen and even the super on-trend festive food ornaments.

Some of the felted lovelies have hanging loops perfect for putting on the Christmas tree. Some are free standing.

All are perfect for creating a hygge-like Scandinavian vibe this Christmas.

Recycled Newspaper Angel Decoration

What’s not to love about sustainable and super cute?

This recycled newspaper angel is the perfect Christmas tree topper for the environmentally aware. Handmade by Amber and Rose from eco-friendly 100% recycled newspaper, it is a decoration that helps reduce the amount of unwanted global waste and cuts down on the usage of unsustainable sources.

So this is the Christmas angel decoration that looks good and also does good too.
