Want to give amazing, unique gifts, but don’t have the brain bandwidth? I’ve done the work for you. Take a look at this curation of gorgeous whole family gift ideas that you can buy on Etsy. In partnership with Etsy.
I love giving really unique and unusual gifts.
Sometimes it feels more appropriate to give a whole family gift, rather than individual gifts.
It’s particularly good to give a gift to a whole family if your Christmas gift list has grown ridiculously long.
All you do is shift from giving each family member a gift to giving everyone in that family household a shared gift.
It’s a great way to save both money and cut back on shopping time. Win win!!
Of course it is brilliant to give a gift that the recipients feel real thought and effort has gone into.
But it can be super tricky to find family gifts, that are creative and unique, that all the family will love.
Which is why I’ve done the trawling for you.
Yes, I’ve curated a list of ten brilliantly creative and unique gift ideas for the whole family.
There are personalised gifts handmade and hand-crafted gifts, gifts that raise a smile and gifts that are super practical.
Hands down these are some of the best gifts to give to families this Christmas.
Etsy whole family gift ideas
1. Modern Custom Family Portrait
Now art is a very personal thing. But luckily there’s a whole slew of artists offering custom family portraits.
I love PicturePoema‘s artwork, see image below. But you can use this search: Custom Family Portraits on Etsy to see myriad different portrait styles to choose from.
2. Personalised zodiac necklace
This 24k gold hammered disc zodiac, by Olive Bella, reveals your astrological sign and can be personalised with an initial on a moon or star charm. It comes on a 14K gold filled rope necklace.
3. CUSTOM FAMILY CHOPPING BOARD
This wooden chopping board, by Cutly, is a great family gift idea for hard to buy for families who have everything.
The rubber wood chopping board can be engraved with a family name to personalise it.
Not quite your style? There are LOTS of other sellers creating personalised chopping boards. Just click on this search: Customised Chopping Boards on Etsy.
4. Custom soundwave art
Know a song that has real meaning for a family?
Why not have it turned into soundwave art?
I think this faded soundwave art, by Velvet Print, is one of the most beautiful versions of soundwave art on Etsy. If it doesn’t quite float your boat, click on this search for an array of other soundwave art offerings: Soundwave Art on Etsy.
5. Custom pet portrait
Now this, THIS, is pretty much one of my favourite whole family gift ideas – if that family has a much loved pet.
It might be because we have an eight month old dog who has nestled in to become the centre of our family world.
But it could be because these custom pet portraits by Homme Sur La Lune are hilariously fabulous.
I can’t even choose just one example, so here’s a screenshot of the Homme Sur La Lune store front…
6. Living plant wall art
This is a great unusual gift for green fingered friends and family. Or for someone who lives in a flat and doesn’t have any outdoor space for plants.
Rish Studio, in Nottingham, have got an array of plant based gifts, but it’s the succulent and moss wall art that has my eyes popping.
7. Gold Rimmed Yerba Mate Gourd
You don’t have to use these gorgeous cups for yerba mate, you can use them to drink whatever you like from them.
The main thing is that these gourds, by Kina Ceramics, are both unusual and beautifully made. Perfect for the family of homeware enthusiast who seemingly already has everything Instagrammable!
Kina Ceramics also have an amazing selection of quirky ceramic gifts and home accessories. Click here to see their shop front: Kina Ceramics.
8. Personalised scrabble letter decorations
Who doesn’t love a family game of Scrabble at Christmas?!
Well, how about turning that love of Scrabble into Christmas decorations? Personalised Christmas tree decorations?
Yes, it can be done, by Box Frames By Amy, over on Etsy. You can choose all the letters, so it’s not like Scrabble, where you get what comes out of the bag!!
9. Personalised family character cushion
Brighten up a family living room with one of these family character cushions.
There are eight different characters, created by the very talented Ling Art Design, to choose from to make up a family.
The cushions are 40x40cm in size and come complete with inner pad. The covers are of a premium linen material have a zip opening at the bottom.
10. concrete family set
Now this one might be a little ‘out-there’ for some, but I have a real thing about concrete home interiors stuff.
Which means that I totally LOVE this set of concrete family characters. Given that this will be our first Christmas as dog owners, I also LOVE that there is a paw in the mix!
There are various combinations of characters to choose from, to reflect the myriad family structures. All characters are created by Labour of Love.
This really is a unique gift idea to give as a gift to a whole family.
So there you have it. A curation of my favourite gifts for the whole family. I really hope there’s something on the list that works for the families you want to buy for.
